Passionate. Committed. Focused on Your Future.
Your Financial Support Team.
Ian Johnson founded JFG Inc. more than 30 years ago, born of a passion for helping individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners achieve their unique visions of success and financial well-being.
A proud father of three children, Ian volunteers his time with several youth-focused initiatives including Covenant House, the Council of Champions for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, and is an ardent supporter of youth sports, having coached several boys’ and girls’ hockey teams at local and AAA levels.
Ian was appointed to two Industry Agents’ Advisory Councils, is a Past President for the Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, and was named 2005 Business Person of the Year by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce.
A 25+ year veteran advisor for individual and group insurance, Rod Johnson is one of our resident employee benefits specialists. Rod shares Ian’s belief that when we do what’s right for the client while acting with integrity and maintaining high standards of service and support, every one wins. Rod also believes in keeping things as simple as possible so everyone knows the plan, the process and the result. And he’s the one you want to go to bat for you should you have a claim (he doesn’t know the word “quit”).
When not busy in his roles of husband and Dad – or engaging in his love of the outdoors – in his non-business hours, you’ll find this former director of the Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce out networking in the communities JFG Inc services for the Chamber of Commerce Group Insurance Plan®, and acting in his role of Chair of Council for the Aurora United Church helping to realize the congregation’s dream of rebuilding.
Rod is a Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS), and holds a Bachelor of Administrative Studies (B.A.S.) in Administration and Policy from Trent University.
